Hi All

Jan, thanks again for a great component. Is there any possible way to get Phoca to automatically order the categories. My site will have hundreds of categories and thousands of subcategories that would ned to be in alphanumeric order. The system seems to order the galleries this way. It would be nealry impossible to order the galleries manually since users are creating them via ftp uploads.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi, since version 2.2 you can set the ordering by:

- ID
- Date
- Ordering
- Title

You can set this in parameters

I looked all over the params to find the alphabetical ordering and couldn't. all i had to do was left click on the title bar in the category list and it work

Btw, since this component is a majot part of my site & I love it (except a few minor things) where do I donate?

I have upgraded to v2.2 for this, but cannot find it anywhere in the back-end admin pages. Can you please tell us where to find it?

Just click on the head of image title column and it will be ordered by ordering (in Phoca Gallery - Images)

so, maybe the "title" ordering should be the right...

I am having trouble setting the parameters for my gallery. I wasn't having trouble ordering my categories a few days ago, but now nothing seems to work. I have tried changing the Category ordering, Categories Images ordering, Categories List ordering AND the General Setting ordering to multiple different settings to see if anything changes...

Nothing is changing now?! Is there anyway that my global parameters would not be overriding the categories list view?

If you notice... Fran, Moth, and Maul are at the bottom of the list.. This is with ALL parameter settings set to Title Ascending.

And yes, MOST of the list is.. Because I input it all alphabetically.. But it is not re-sorting the newly added Fran, Moth, and Maul anymore.. although it was a few days ago.

ALSO: the Image Ordering in Parameters - General Settings DOES work and change things... but None of the category ordering is making a difference...

No idea what's going on... Any suggestions?!

Hi, it looks like the parameter settings in the menu link are overriding the global config in phoca gallery. Because, if you remove the itemId form the url, it is sorted alphabetically see: http://kolorkrown.com/ver5/index.php?op ... categories -> change the menu link's parameters (of the "Archive" link)

Alright.. I'd forgotten about those specific parameters, and they were all set to Use Global... I tried manually setting them all to Title Ascending- but same results...?!
