Hi,

I'm having some problems with Phoca Gallery

1. Gallery images are shown in one column. I can't see any options to increase this value.
2. I can't make thumbnails bigger. I can't see any options either.
3. When clicking on images a new popup window is opened. Is it possible if some ajax box is displayed like demos?

Did you try with the rhuk_milkyway template? What's the value in Phoca Gallery Width (https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... l_Settings)

Hi.

I am having the same problem, about 40 catagories and 1 column. I have tried changing the parameters for columns to 1, 2, 3, 4 columns, but nothing is happening always 1 column.

I have tried changing to Rhuck Milkyway and Beez, but still 1 Column.

Also "Shadowbox" and "Modal Popup box" do not work in the RocketTheme only in Rhuck Milkyway and Beez so I can only use "Highslide".

By the way I received this error when installing :

* It was not possible to copy the selected file.
* JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /home/xxx/public_html/xxx/tmp/install_49b18a26f23aa/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_phocagallery.ini to /home/xxx/public_html/xxx/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_phocagallery.ini
* It was not possible to copy the selected file.

Probably it will make sense to you. I installed this on another joomla, but same server.. Absolutely same error and result. Even the error was produced, I was able to install Phoca. When I click on any category the images are displayed in only one column.

I'm VERY confused.

@ stefan, could you check the number of columns in the component-parameters of your menu-item?

@egorig: this error message means that the language files are not copied to the language/en-GB folder. This means that in the frontend you'll see the hardcoded text if you mouse over a Phoca button.

The current settings is 3 columns. The thing is that this was working until I upgraded something, either the Phoca Gallery or some other component, Unfortunantly I don´t remember when the column settings stopped working, I used to have 3 columns.

This is the same problem I'm having, solved by changing the parameters in the menu. Somehow I get the feeling that this is due to "Bad programming" rather then not knowing how the the parameters are configured.

Hi stefan,

In the versions prior to 2.1.0 you always had this problem. This was due to the fact that you couldn't set a 'use global' for text parameters. Since 2.1.0 the component parameters are empty by default and then take the global settings. If they're not empty they take their own setting.

So since 2.1.0 changing globals should work, but apparently sometimes it doesn't work, although I don't know why.

Hi there,

I hope someone can help, because i have the same problem and the solutions posted here didn't work (partly) for me.
I have installed version 2.5.0 and in IE8, FireFox 3.5 and Chrome all seems to work just fine.. Except for IE7.
In IE7 i always get one column of images and categories, nomatter which values i assign to the "global configuration" of the component or the "Parameters (component)" in the menu to the component.
