Hi,

Upgraded the gallery and the plugin from 1.8.8 to 2.2.0 and (later to 2.2.1 Beta because of problem below)
The upgrade worked like a clock, thank you for such an ease.

But problems started to occur after upgrade.
The new Phoca gallery works as usual as long as you click your way in to it. You can start a Modal picture popup box. But going back in the gallery picture tree, i.e. the back folders in Phoca gallery, then suddenly the popup box only shows 404 missing link. I you click the gallery in the Joomla menu and start over it's works again.
Scanning the link to the pictures before and after the error occurs then the links looks the same.

The plugin also have this behavoiur. The switch (swap) image works ok, but the modal popup box always gives a 404 error in display - here you can't show any picture at all in the popup modal picturebox.

I have also noticed that the top label (the Title in the gallery) change from it's original label into the sites "Site Name"-label when going backwards -could there be some error related?

I've got Joomla ver. 1.5.4 and SEF URLs active with Appace rewrite.
As far as I can see I would't be needing Phoca SEF or have I missed a spot here? I more looks like some kind of links lost/ badly updated during usage of the gallery.

you should really update to Joomla 1.5.9, because J! 1.5.4 has some serious security issues!

I have upgraded to 1.5.9.

First I tried to copy the live site to WAMP, but that didn't work. But a 1.5.4 installation, db-import and an import worked like a breeze. And now live site is upgraded.

But the upgrade didn't solve the 404 link missing issue.

1. Going into a Phoca-galley from a menu select shows the menu name as the title/caption on top of the gallery page. But If you go into the gallery and then go back with the backfolders will get the top caption/title being renamed into the "Site Name" set in global config.

2. The above mentioned going back by the Phoca folders will cause the image popup box to say 404 error.

3. The Phoca plugin with a page with swap image and cut in Phocha albumcode as said on the Phoca site, i.e.
<Bracket> phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1| limitstart=0|limitcount=1|detail=0|displayname=1| displaydetail=1|displaydownload=0|imageshadow=shadow2|enableswitch=1|fontcolor=#cd6620|float=center </bracket>
cause the 404 error everytime.

Can I have missed to updgrade some Phoca stuff or is there a bug or other setting?
(I hcae installed the galley module and the plugin + swedish laungauge)

do you mean that you use the plugin to display the images and you don't have any menu link?

The hidden menu was the thing, that solved this issue. I also seems to solve the other update problem as well (but little to early to say).

I had forgot about that not activated menu-stuff (I also have another hidden thing in that menu).
The Phoca menu item needed to be updated, as well as the other components.

"In Menu » Your Created Menu create a menu item with the type Phoca Gallery Category list layout"
I just opened and rechoose the Category List Layout, saved it and now it seems that everything works. Thanks, you're truly a Phoca expert.

I can only blame myself not writing that part down (but I will now). As I usually do, since it's so easy to forget between the updates.
