Is there a way to Next/Previous for categories?

I was wondering if there is an easy way to display Next and Previous navigation buttons that allows users to easily go to the next or previous category or subcategory from within any category without having to go back to the category menus every time. For example, I have a bunch of subcategories that contain pics of various gigs my band played. It would be nice is someone could view the pics for one gig, then hit next to view the next gig, etc. Is there any setting I can do to get this, or should this be a feature request?
