How to display larger photos and enlarge modal box?

What is the largest size photo that be displayed in Phoca, and how to change the settings?

Someone in another thread suggested allowing users to download of original size of photo, but that is not acceptable for my purposes.

My photos are mostly 800x522 wide (or 522x800 vertical). I would like to offer photos in even larger sizes, too.

I tried to re-set the parameters for Large Image Width and Height and Front Modal Box Width and Height. By doing that, either the Modal Box disappears altogether, or the photo is too large to show any navigation. I tried adding new photos and got the same result.

Hi, did you change it in Parameters (global configuration) and Parameters component too...

did you remove old thumbnails before?

So the "picture" is actually a "thumbnail"?

Hi,

yes. Phoca Gallery doesn't do anything with the original (except checking if they're are there and displaying them, when someone presses the download link). Phoca displays her own created thumbnails - even the large picture is a created thumbnail.

What exactly should I do, if I want to display the original sized images and not the Phocas thumbnails?

I don't want phoca to compress and resize my images, I want to show them as they are.

thank you in advance

Hi,

well that's kinda hard, because the large thumbnail is used almost everywhere. You can search in the forum for this question, because this has been asked before (I don't know if there's a real solution for this)
