Hi,
First of al this is a great component. I just loaded the latest version on Joomla 1.5.8. This is what i found when using the front end. I created a menu item to link to the gallery front end component. All the front end parameters are turned on.

When I logged in as admin, I saw a tabbed box with 2 tabs on it....New Category and Upload. I created a test category and then when i go back, I do not see the tab for creating a new category anymore. The menu defaults to the 'edit category' button and I do not see the list of categories nor can I see the 'new category' tab. It flashes the main menu and automatically goes into the edit category mode on the first category.

Is this a bug? Or do I need to set something? i have searched the forum, but no luck. Thanks for your help.

Update....I removed the 2.2 beta version and installed the 2.1 rc version. It has the same problem. II have done everything, but the main menu in the front end does not display. Instaed it keeps flashing the menu for a second and then displays the edit category mode with the first category.

I even set up all of the parameters when I created a menu item and have also set up the parameters in the globul configuration....still no luck. Anyone have an idea what is wrong? I have even changed the site template to the default Joomla template, and still it does not work.

Hi, users in frontend are able to create only one main category (creating subcategories is planned) so if you will create one, then you can go back and edit it only... ... this is Control Panel for frontend users...

if you want to administrate your gallery, you should go to backend of joomla and there you should create categories and add images...
