How to best replicate Nivo in Joomla 3.3

Have a site with nearly 70 Nivo slideshows in articles (placed with nonumbers modules anywhere). In a Joomla 2.5 site we're updating to 3.3.
As Nivo is not responsive nor available for Joomla 3.. been playing with BX Slider
But wish to replicate Fade.. and have it pull caption from Description field not both title and description. Before I get too far into this (and will post how i did all of the options if i have to pursue via BX Slider)... has anyone got a better solution to replicating Nivo in 3.3?
