Let's say we have an album on picasa "myalbum" with 2 photos. I import this alubm into picasa and photos have their ids. Now on Picasa I'm adding new photos and I want to import only new photos. But it is not possible. All photos are imported and my old photos have new ids and when they were inserted using plugin in article, they are not displayed after new import.

Hi, yes, there is no update function but import only - this means, all data stay on Picasa and when you import, they will be all imported to your site - e.g. if you set some description for image A in Picasa but you change it on your server, while importing it will be set back by the value on Picasa server - this is why the iformation should be updated on Picasa - to have only one place to update information - import then in fact only makes a mirror of current information on Picasa.

OK, but this is no good solution . When I am adding new photos to album I am importing this album again alll photos old and new have new id's. When somewhere on my page I have a phoca gallery photo it stops to display. Old photos should be imported with the same id.

Hi, there are always two ways and of course one is good for someone the other is good for other one:
- you manage all information on Picasa - if imported, information will be taken from Picasa - such way Phoca Gallery works
- you manager information on both places - in Picasa and in your gallery - now if import function is clicked - there must be some specific algorithm which will decide which information is valid - if the one in your gallery or if the one in your Picasa - which should be taken, should the one be overwritten by other or should it stay as it is - why then import?
So in Phoca Gallery, the import function works like IMPORT - means you can import the images and information from Picasa and every old information will be updated by Picasa informantion - there is only one main place to update informantion.
There is no synchronization function - this is maybe what you mean - for synchronization you need to have other environment and more complicated code which will decide which information is in fact valid - if there are two information - one on Picasa, second in Gallery - should be valid the one in Picasa, or in Gallery, should it be recognized by date, what happen that some newer information will overwrite information which we don't want to overwrite, etc.
