Cannot view my previous gallery after updating Phoca Gallery

Hello!
I have recently updated from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.3.
I then disinstalled the old version of Phoca Gallery and then tried to install the new Phoca Gallery 4.1.1 with the error message 404 "Component not found, return to Control Panel". As I returned to Control Panel I found the message " Folder images/phocagallery/ exists, images/phocagallery/avatars exists".
Going to my host server I rename the folder images/phocagallery/ to images to phocagalleryOLD, then installed the new Phoca Gallery 4.1.1 successfully.
But the categories and images in Phoca Gallery are empty.
Next step: I changed on the host server the new folder images/phocagallery into images/phocagalleryNEW and the old folder images/phocagalleryOLD into images/phocagallery.
The categories and images in Phoca Gallery are still empty. But if I go to Joomla Media Manager I can still find the images.
Would highly appreciate your help.
