-1 copy file failed during Update 4.0.2 -> 4.0.4

Hi there,

today i tried upgrading Phoca Gallery on Joomla 3.1.5 from 4.0.2 to 4.0.4 because i plan to upgrade to J3.2 soon.
During installation I got the following error: "-1 copy file failed" without any further explanation. After that, I checked the version in Phoca Gallery component menu, it says 4.0.4.

What shall I do? Is it already upgraded? In Joomla extension menu it still says 4.0.0.

Hi, no idea what was wrong while installation - maybe some permissions or ownership problem. The installation is done by extension manager not by Phoca Gallery itself, so there the problem needs to be found - maybe try to enable debug mode and php error reporting and try to install again, maybe you will get more detailed information about the problem

I was able to find the reason for the error. There were php errors when using joomla Update. I downloaded Akeeba Admin Tools and let it "fix permissions".
after that, phoca gallery upgrade works like a charm
