For your information, I had no pb installing Phoca 1.8.6 beta
I have the error messages for versions 2.x
Any idea ?

Should I stay withPhoca 1.8.6B ?

I noticed now that some information is missing in the article of 'normal' upgrading. I will change that tonight or tomorrow.

1/ I copied all the content of ZIP file 2.1RC excepted "front", "language" and "other"
2/ I changes #_ by jos in the install.bak PHP file
3/ I don't care about keeping the first 2 tables so I run this SQL querie but I have error messages :

requête SQL:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `jos_phocagallery`;
MySQL a répondu:
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'D' at line 1

What should I do ?

I try again the SQL request.
I copied one by one the requests and today it's working !
YES !!! )
I have now my 6 Phoca tables.

But...
I copied with FTP all the file you're talking about in your FTP notice.
I checked. I have all the files in the good place but in my Joomla admin, when I click on "Gallery" I have the folloing error. Any idea ??

Hi,

you're supposed not to have a 'gallery' anymore. You should have a control panel with an 'Images' tab.

I guess something went wrong with copying.

Now that you've overwritten your existing gallery tables, you lost all your images. So it's like a new install. I suggest to try to uninstall Phoca Gallery and reinstall again. And then I hope Phoca Gallery creates everything as it should be.
