Java crashes Mozilla on Upload

Dear Forum,

when I try to create a new category in the phoca gallery, it is shown in the gallery but not on the server. When I try to upload pictures the Mozilla Browser (25.0.1, Java latest version, Shockwave latest version) crashes as soon as I try to open the target folder on my PC or when I hit the several uploads button. In IE this will not lead to a crash, but the categories are also not created on the server and the uploaded pictures are not shown in the gallery.
After deactivating Java the categories existed in the gallery and on the server but th pictures were only on the server but not in the gallery.
(Joomla 2.5.11, Phoca Gallery 3.2.3 and 3.2.6
Server PHP-Version 5.2.6-1+lenny13, database 5.0.51a-24+lenny5-log )

I went back to Phoca Gallery 3.2.3 as it worked fine on my local installed testsystem with Joomla 2.5.4, but it also didn`t help.
Tried Windows 7 and IE with new Java and it also didn`t work. :-(

By now I`m rather puzzled what to do. I hope someone out there can help me out.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Kindest regards,
Peter

Hi, if you have problems using JAVA on your PC then I think you should use other upload feature like multiple upload, etc. And disable the JAVA upload feature in Options.

If images are on the server, means they were uploaded, and then you need to add them to system:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ing-images
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... categories

Dear Jan,

thank you for taking the time to go through my problem. :-)

Using other upload-features didn“t help. Users could not use multiple upload in frontend. Not even the administrator.

So I went back to enabling java, and html 5 and in the backend it worked for me as admin. But not in the frontend.
(Phoca Gallery member administration -> on, frontend menu -> member administration)

After several hours I tried to change from pg->member administration in frontend menu to pg->category view, but also no success;
Finally I tried pg-> pictures view and suddenly everything worked the way I wanted it. :|
Not quite as comfortably as Iwanted but well enough.

I think you can mark the thread as solved.

Greetings
Peter
