Hi,
I found a few things in Phoca Gallery 4.0.1 - I´m not sure if that are bugs or just missing features...

If I delete pictures from the admin interface, the main files will stay on the server. Thumbnails will be deleted correctly.
If I delete the same files from front end, all files will be deleted correctly.

In the categories - view you can see the number of pictures in the category. But it counts only the pictures in the main - category. Pictures in Sub - categories will not be counted.

In the menu - Link tho Phoca Gallery, you can set in the second page witch Main - Categories should be shown (Set ID´s or leave it empty to show all). When I set the ID´s (for eg. 2,4,5) no categories will be show. I just get a emty site.

I use the Phoca Gallery Module to show the newest pictures on my site. I set up the thumbnails as links to the category in the settings. When I click on the image, I come tho the correct category (the link works), but with that links a extra - headline will be show in the category - view. Eg.: "Article - category name" The Links are all to pictures in sub - categories.
When I use the menu - link to the category, no headline will be show.

html5 uploader does not work under Windows 8 / IE10.
Files can be added, but the upload will not start. The counter stays on 0%

Hi,

1) Phoca Gallery does not manage the original images, so they stay on server - for example because the images can be used for other thumbnails, for content images, etc.

2) see similar posts, the count for counting all images in all subcategories needs to be customized - because there are two problems - memory issue to go thru all the subcategories in tree, and the right decision if the count should display count of images in category or count of images in category + all the subcategories ...

3) are the categories "parent categories"?

4) try to disable sef and check the itemid parameter, check if the itemid is the same for the category like for the menu link to gallery - in Joomla! the settings are managed by Id of menu (itemid), if they are different, they can have different settings - https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla

Yes, I have try with parent categories. The Idea was to make about 50 User - Categories in with the users can upload t´here pictures and make own sub-categories. But we also need other categories. I want to make 2 menu - links - "user pictures" with only shows the 50 parent categories of the users (id 1-50) and "other pictures" with shows the other parent categories (id 51 - x). So as I understand, this option will do that?

Meanwhile I use a work around, i make a main/parent - categorie "members" and each member a sub-category. But with this work around the front - end user management will not work right, because I can not set the subcategorie owner to user because the parent category "members" do not have an owner...

I disable sef, and the itemid´s are always the same. I think the problems are not the links, but it is not a big problem.

3) yes, only parent category can be owned and they all subcategories are owned by the same user as by parent categories. In every case you can disable displaying only of parent categories and if the parent is not displayed, then its subcategory even

4) If they have the same itemid, they should get the same settings, try to recheck the settings for the menu link id (the itemid) ???
