Multiple Add Problem - getting kicked out after upload

Hi Phoca Gallery-Team!

I've switched from morfeoshow to phocagallery, because morfeoshow doesn't offer the feature to sort pictures by filenames. I am working with joomla 1.5 an the latest PhocaGallery 2.1.0 RC, and now I remember why I didn't use this module in the past: The Multiple Add function still doesn't work

Everytime I hit the "browse Files"-button in the multiple Add function, I can select some jpgs, but after I click the "upload files" button the upload-progess-meter of the files goes to 100%, and after all files are at 100% I'm getting kicked out of the backend and find myselft in the "Administration Login" screen (with no files uploaded)

I tried to switch into FTP-Upload function in joomla, I checked the permissions (777) in the images/phocagallery folder, and I tried to disable the "Flash upload" function in the phocagallery settings (but in this mode I can only select one image in the "multiple add" funktion - strange!)... nothing works

I hope somebody has a clue or hint for me

Thanks for your help and greetings from Austria
deF

Hi,

I'm sorry, I can read a bit German, but my writing skills are not that good :(

Can you upload images through the build in media manager of Joomla? As far as I know PhocaGallery multiple add uses that media manager. If that's not working either, you could try to find some solutions on http://forum.joomla.org or on some local Joomla! community

FTP method:
You could try to upload your files with an FTP-program like Filezilla (or FireFTP = firefox addon) and then go to multiple add, to see whether the files are in the list.

When you have uploaded your files (doesn't matter what method) you still need to add them to a category -
Go to multiple add, select those files (or the folder if you want to create a category or subcategory) and select the category you want to add the files to and press save. (if you selected a folder you want to use as 'parent' category, then don't select a category)

I hope this helps you,

Carolien

Es geht nicht um die definitive Lösung, es geht darum, dass du es probiert, und wir wissen werden, was funktioniert und was nicht, so wir es "step by step" lösen können...
