Folks - I hope someone can help me

I have my main categories set up so that all registered users can see them within their account area. I have also set up sub categories for each user. Every sub category is named the same but has been assigned to the relevant user. For example:

User 1
Main category = Maintenance
Sub Category = Plumbing << Assigned to User 1 but has "Registered" set as access level

User 2
Main category = Maintenance
Sub Category = Plumbing << Assigned to User 2 but has "Registered" set as access level

So here is my problem. User one is viewing the categories - When they click the maintenance category they are presented with all the sub categories assigned to user 2 because they have registered access setup.

How can I assign sub categories to a user with an access level that only allows them to see the sub categories they are allowed to

Hi, I am sorry but I think, I don't understand what exactly should be realized there.

Users can maintance only categories where they have rights e.g. to upload, delete. So if someone has right to see the category in category view then he/she will see them but maintance can be done only by users who have rights to do.

Sorry it is very confusing and difficult to explain by text alone - I would need to show you a demo of what I was trying to do.

I have a main category with registered access. The sub categories have the same access. Can I assign a sub category to one user only?

Hi, subcategory can get different rights, so e.g. only one user can upload, delete, access them.

But assigning (onwership) can be done on main (parent categories), the the subcategories get the same ownership as main category is
