Filmstrip

Hello,
With our first site we started with Phoca Gallery, we had to leave the componentn due to performance problems, we had 20.000+ images in the database.
We used several other solutions, none of them satisfying enough.
Now with Joomla 1.6 and Picasa we are switching back ...
But there is one effect i can't figure out, a kind of a filmstrip/slideshow. We placed this on our frontpage

Now this is a expose filmstrip.
The slidehow in the bottom is perfectly replecable with Phoca.
Any suggestion ?
