Hi,
what do you mean for "catches"?
Sorry typo, should be caches not catches.. I meant Joomla! & Browser cache.
I assigned another template (Protostar) to the menu entry and now the photogallery is displayed ...
Great, because now the JS errors are also gone.

Basically I haven't solved the problem yet ...
I'd like to know:
- where can I find previous versions of Phocagallery?
- where are the parameters of Categories View, Category View, Details?

https://github.com/PhocaCz/PhocaGallery/releases But it is not recommended to use previous versions.

Backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options -->
- Categories View --> Categories View Settings
- Category View --> Category View Settings
- Detail View --> Detail View Settings

So, I tested various releases and found that up to version 4.3.18 Phocagallery works, the List of Categories is shown. From version 4.4.0 onwards it disappears ...

From version 4.4.0 onwards it disappears ...
I understood it disapears with your used template. With current Joomla! & Protostar & current Phoca Gallery it works, you wrote.
So it should be a question to the developer of your template, why her/his template behaves different from Joomla! standard template..

Last thing. Where are the Categories View parameters saved? In database or file (s) ?.
