Error saving category

i resolved the error by completely unistalling the component and deleting the database tables. and afterwards i reinstalled it from scratch and inserted the data back into the database.
now it works - but i still don't know what went wrong...

some issues came up during the process:
- i installed the 2.2.3-version via jommla installer: blank page at the end (and not tables in the database)
- ftp-install-file produced the error mentioned in one of my previous postings. so i installed version 2.2.2beta first and then the 2.2.3 on top of it (again blank page at the end, but everything workes)

Hi, maybe error reporting on in php.ini will give more information...
