Hi Jan:
I am new to Phoca Gallery and new to Joomla as well. So, I am having quite a few issues.
Right now, I want to try and reduce the size of the images not in the popup box but in the subcategory images.
For example I have a main category events which has different subcategories which are images. Each of the subcategories contains images for a particular event.
The images are right now, because of their size appearing in three columns. I would like to
1. reduce the size of the images
2. Increase the space between images so as to make them stand out.
I have another issue. While I was playing around trying to fix something else, I am now finding the Category IDs appear below the images. (How do I remove them)?
This is the link to the website that I am working on.
centerforreturn.org/media-gallery/category/19-24th-annual
Any help you can give would be most helpful!
Thanks!

Hi,
1) try to see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... w-resizing
2) this can be done in options or in CSS
Normally, the IDs are not displaying below images, so really no idea what was changed there

Hi:
Referring to your article:
When you say delete all the thumbs Folder,
1. I have a Thumbs Folder
in the main images folder of Phocagallery images
and in each of the individual image category subfolders
So, all these thumbs that exist for all my Phocagallery images have to deleted?
2. I tried doing this for a few images, but what was happening is the border or outline seems be reducing but not the images themselves. Also, the resized thumbnails don't appear. What is have is a blank box for the image within a box.
3. Before I start the deletion of thumbs do I have to disable thumbnail generation and then enable or do I have to keep it enabled all along?
4. The enable thumbnail is the option under Thumbnail Generation Settings in Main in Options , correct?
Hope you can help me out with this!
Thank you.

1. Yes, all "thumbs" subfolders should be deleted
2. Blank box means, no thumbnails was found, so e.g. it was not created
3. If you delete it e.g. per ftp, maybe it is good to enable pagination thumbnail creating (see documentation) ... anyway, you can recreate the thumbnails step by step without removing them e.g. per ftp - just select e.g. 10 images in administration and click to recreate - if parameters changed, new thumbnails with new site will be done
4. Yes.

Thank you so much for the reply!
I had made a local copy of the whole website for development and tried to test out the resizing of the pictures locally. I deleted some of the thumbs and tried it out and then I clicked on Recreate Thumbnails as you mentioned and it seems to be working!!! Thank you!
Now I have to do it on the live site.
1. Does deleting speed up the thumb nail recreation process?
2. I did not understand what you mean by deleting per FTP.
3. Since I have it in Folders on the hosting site that would where I have to delete the images ,right?
4. Would I need to create a backup before doing it on the live website or will it be okay and just follow the procedure on the live site as well
Thank you again. You have been a real great help!

Hi,
1) no, when you want to recreate the thumbnail, you need to delete them before, so if you delete them in ftp or per recreate function, this should take the same time
2) you just connect to your server per FTP and will find the thumbs folders and you will delete them (like in file manager)
3) yes, per ftp e.g.
4) depends on you, it is allways good to make backup before doing some changes.
