Queue for thumbs regenerating

Hi all,
gallery works perfect Jan but I made a mistake and I am looking for some info to save couple of days on my work.

I have around 5500 photos in around 190 cathegories in database. During adding new set of them I made a mistake and marked all folders with my photos to be regenerated and run thumbnails generating. I started to regenerate existing data and making new thumbs in that cathegory I defined. That was big mistake and it creates mess in my gallery. In next step I stopped the job for regenerating, it was easy, but after running it again, it continues according some queue.

Please, tell me, where are photos marked to be regenerated or generated into new Cathegory, because I have to update this mark of whatever it is to really stop job to be able to enable thumbnails generating again. I have to do it directly in the db or do you have any better idea. I had not found solution till now and I had not found any information how to clean up this queue for thumbs generating.

Hi, nowhere, Phoca Gallery looks on your server and detects if the thumbnail file exists, if not, it will create one.

Jan, thanks for replay. I understand.
Solution was based on some research in

_phocagallery

table and than delete all records created based on my mistake. That stopped process.

By the way, is gallery everytime checking all or listed pictures against the all thumbs? I found significand decrese of efficiency of this generating of thumbs when I have 3 and more thousands of photos. I will see how it will continue, but there was really critical problem to continue around 7000 photos. 30 seconds limit was exceeded very offen and process finished with fatal error. May be, some future development idea.

Hi, see the documentation and recommendation (you can disable automatically thumbnails creation and you can enable it only for pagination values - e.g. only 20 items will be checked on the site) - see documentation for more info and the Info page of Phoca Gallery administration.

Generating step by step or page by page is much more faster but less user friendly in case more pictures, but you are right, solves machine efficiency. Ok, thanks for info. It is so called "as designed" . Close issue as solved. Thanks
