No button to add users

Hi,

I've just completed a new installation of Phoca Gallery 2.6.1 and it appear to have gone well. Only problem I seem to have is that there is no button to add new users, so I cannot set up any users at all.

Should there be an add new user button in the Phoca Gallery Users backend menu or am I missing a trick - do you add users in some other way.

I have browsed the documentation and searched this forum but cannot find anything that relates to this so I hope someone will be able to help please?

Hi,
somewhere in this forum Jan explained this, i can't find the post right now...

I think users are show only after they created their user folder/category (via frontend). These users can then create new subcategories within this category.

to add new users use the Joomla! user manager.

I have the same problem,

and in adition, all my categries do not open correct anymore if a user is logged in - it is just a html fragment sent to the browser - all the website is destroyed - just a bit of a categorie shows up and at the bottom a line with an fatal error

I created two users by user manager, and I can not see it in the Phoca Gallery Users.

Users are displayed only in user manager in Joomla! If they will have some images in Phoca Gallery, then they are displayed in Phoca Gallery Users.

I've got the same error and I fixed it! I first backed up the gallery tables and then completely deinstalled the whole gallery, the component, all plugins and moduls. Then checked via ftp for some leftover. After this I installed step by step the component, needed plugins and moduls and restore data of the gallery tables. Thats it!
