Ok, first, I should mention that I am doing an adult site for an acquaintance, so if you don't want to look at it, here's a heads-up...
Test site: http://174.132.149.188/~rspics
Essentially, the site has 6 major types of photos:
Women
Men
Man on Woman
Woman on Woman
Man on Man
Groups
Each day he wants to add new pics to each category, so each day will be a sub category
Ex:
Women
December 9
December 10
December 11
Etc...
This is what I want:
1 - Each section to contain thumbnails of each individual day, automatically created with 4 or 5 per row
Issue: For some reason I cannot figure out which setting will do this for the "category view," but it seems to do it automatically for the "list view."
Category View - http://174.132.149.188/~rspics/index.ph ... Itemid=136
2 - Publish sub-categories at a later date... Not possible in settings, but I have created a workaround. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3365 Would be happy to see if anyone has a better/quicker workaround.
3 - Automatically check for new images added via FTP. Told that nobody has come up with a method for this yet... Hope someone out there has a workaround.
4 - And, of course I will modify the theme a little. I shouldn't need any help with the CSS.
Any other suggestions?

I should also note that the "Main Sections" themselves are not important. I will not be linking to a page to show all Sections or galleries.

#1 - Ok, got it.
"Category View Settings (List of Images)" - This section of settings also controls the sub category view.
The settings I wanted and how to obtain them:
Thumbnails for sub-category folders - "Display image instead of folder icon" set to "Yes"
Display title for sub-category, but not images - "Display Name" set to "Show Category Name Only"
No "Back Button" on sub-category page - "Display Categories View Back Button" set to "No"
Display "Back Button" on images page to return to sub-categories - "Display Back Button" set to "Yes"

Not solved...
I still need a method to automatically publish a category at a later date. And, I still need a method to automatically check for new images on the server...
I now also need a method to automatically unpublish a category at a later date.

Yes, I understand, but you marked the thread as solved... And it really is not.

Sorry, as I don't have any time to see all the topics, I have overlooked that only #1 was solved, so now this is unmarked.
