ID 185 is the ID to the gallery via the menu. ID 178 is the ID of the menu entry who is displaying the category view of phoca gallery - a step higher in the menu structure.

Re: category name in breadcrumb
Ok, let me explain...
I have a menu entry to a phoca gallery category with a few sub-categories (Phoca Gallery » Kategorien) - category list
This entry has the Itemid 178.
I've also made menu entries with access directly to the gallery (Phoca Gallery » Kategorie)
One of this entries has the Itemid 185.
These entries are subentries of the main entry.
Have a look here: http://www.tritten-nuetzi.ch/fotos/ausfluege.html

Re: category name in breadcrumb
Yes, so every itemid (entry/menu link) have own settings. It means if 185 is displayed then there are settings from the menu link (185) and if 178 is displayed then there are settings from 178. It doesn't depend on which view is displayed but which itemid use the view.
For example: you will create menu link to all Phoca Gallery Categories with Itemid=5
If you will click on this menu link (5) the categories will be displayed and settings are taken from Itemid=5 then you will go to category through categories view. So you will be situated in Category View but still with Itemid=5 so it means it will take the settings from Categories View (in fact) - from Itemid=5
If you have two different menu links, it can happen that both will craete a link to same place (but with different SEF form) so it can happen, that some link will not work

Hi, check your parameter basic and parameters system in menu link to gallery, there you can set what will be displayed there.
