Facebook Login Issue

Post by Marco494 »

Hi all,

Could someone please help me with this error. I have been trying to login to facebook to connect be it's not working. I setup the facebook app as the documentation suggests and added the information.

When I click on "Login - Connect with Facebook" I get an error stating the following: "Can't Load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings."

Hope someone can help :)

Thanks,
Marco

Hi, the error message says it exactly:
"Can't Load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings."

In the application, you need to specify the URL to your website where you use Phoca Gallery. Facebook just says, that you call the application from website which is not included as allowed in the application
Try to recheck the URL (app domains) in your application. If this is correct then try to ask some FB developer what can be wrong there

Are people still having trouble with this? Cause I just tried the same thing and got the same result. Same error. I have FB app setup correctly. Is this feature just not working anymore? Running phoca 4.2.2 on J! 3.7.1

I have also trouble to get a working connection to Facebook. I just noticed, the minimum API is 2.9. I filled out everything App Domains and URL of the website, the APP is also puplished and as soon as I click on "Connect with Facebook" I got the Facebook Screen, I accept every question and on the end all fields in Phocca are blank. Right now I'm not able to see my facebook site galleries.

Any suggestion?

So any other idea what I do wrong? Is there an DEBUG log or anything else which is pointing me to my failure? Have you tried to setup a facebook connection lately? I'll really appreciate every hint.

Hi, I don't think you have made something wrong. The problem with external service is, they change the code often, they limit the code often. What worked yesterday, does not work today or is limited, etc. DEBUG mode should be on Facebook developers sites. As I wrote, I still need to find what they changed there or what they limited there :-( (this is really hard as there are many versions of the API, many libraries, almost no debug information, etc. :-(
