Re: Facebook apps
Hi, which version of Phoca Gallery do you run? You should run the latest version as mostly latest versions reflect the changes in external services like FB is (which constantly changes)

Hi, yes, unfortunately the up-to-date changes are added to Joomla! 3.x versions, so for using newest FB applications, you need to newest version (I think when somebody use some old FB application, this should work in Joomla! 2.5)

Re: Facebook apps
thanks for your usual prompt reply.
Yes Ive seen that on a site in Joomla 3.6.2 with PG 4.3.1 the FB App working unfortunately on the old site Joomla 2.5 I've tried and tried again but don't work.
At the moment considering that Picasa is out of service and FB don't work I've not solution for charging a big number of Photos on a space different of my server.
Anyway PG is always a very powerfull component
Have a nice day

Re: Facebook apps
Hi, yes, unfortunately, this will be always the problem when using external services, you need to accept the conditions they do.
Picasa - for now, the album needs to be made public with external application - to be able to import it
FB - yes, the FB API changes constantly, so to run latest application, you need to run the latest Joomla! and Phoca Gallery

Hi Jan,
yes I agree with the external services we need to accept.
I've read a book of a famous italian journalist that speak about the story of Internet, in this book there is a perfect analysis historical, social , economics and there is a phrase that say "when you think that Google is giving you some think free, you're actually selling you the soul"

Re: Facebook apps
I have connected my Joomla V2.5 (Phoca Gallery 3.2.8) to my Facebook API version V2.2 and I get images in my Phoca galleries even after I upgraded my PG to V3.28.
Now, after upgrading, I can't get image description from Facebook in PG any more.
Facebook image description isn't loaded in PG image description.
Please help, I had this functionality in previous PG version.
