Good Day,
I installed Phoca but, I cannot see anything in the new Article to add a Phoca Gallery. I also tried the shortcodes but it only shows at short codes nothing else.
Did I miss something?

Re: I cannot display galleries
Hi Benno,
Am sorry I think I missed the whole way of how to install Phoca Gallery... And I cannot seem to find it...
What I have is many galleries from my different trips... So I need a way to display a list of all my libraries so people can browse through them to see the pictures...
What do I need to install... How do I need to install it? Or where can I get all the steps to install Phoca... It seems to be a great extension but I can't seem to figure out anything...
Please

Re: I cannot display galleries
Got it... After playing with all the addons and components I was able to install everything I needed.
Now what I need help with... My "photos library" looks something like that:
Photos
|____2006
| |____Cuba
|____2007
| |____England
| |____Saudi Arabia
|____2008
|____ Switzerland
What I would like to do is to actually display only "Photos" and see the galleries under it... So people can browse through it...
Can it be done? I will try to fiddle with the options to see if I can do something

Re: I cannot display galleries
Hi,
1.) Create a menu link to Phoca Gallery Component (List of Categories)
2.) go to: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Categories View --> Categories View Settings -->
Display Subcategories=No
Display Empty Categories=Yes
Save & Close
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: I cannot display galleries
Hi,
Your large thumbnail=http://sly-the-traveller.com/images/pho ... ba-006.jpg
Your original image=http://sly-the-traveller.com/images/pho ... ba-006.jpg
I can not see any difference ....
But if you are not satisfied with the quality of your large thumbnails, with Detail View Highslide JS(image only) you are able to display the original images for Detail View.
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Detail View --> Detail View Settings -->
Detail Window=Highslide JS(image only)
--> Highslide JS -->
Highslide JS Full Image=Yes
Save & Close
Kind regards,
Benno

Re: I cannot display galleries
Hi Benno,
There is a difference between both pictures you used for example...
If you look at an other one I can maybe make it more obvious to see the difference
http://sly-the-traveller.com/images/pho ... ba-020.jpg
If you try with this one, the lady on the left side look at her eyes... You will see how the definition changes. Here eye become blurry... It is minimal... But I have almost perfect vision lol and it bugs me
I will try what you said
Thanks
