Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin – Joomla 6 compatible (community update)

Hello Jan, hello Phoca community,

I would like to share a small community update of the well-known
*Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin*.

We have used the original slideshow content plugin for many years on several webpages,
embedded directly in Joomla articles. With the migration of these sites to Joomla 6,
the original plugin was no longer compatible, and at the same time we wanted to keep
the familiar behaviour and syntax instead of switching to a completely different solution.

So I took the existing plugin and carefully updated it for Joomla 6:
• Joomla 6 compatibility
• cleaned and modernised code where necessary
• still uses the proven Phoca Gallery slideshow logic
• works inside Joomla articles via content plugin
• responsive behaviour improved (CSS-based, depending on template)

The goal was *not* to reinvent the product, but to keep a trusted solution working
in modern Joomla environments.

Typical usage example in an article - same as original:

Tested with:
• Joomla 6.x
• Phoca Gallery (current version)

Included languages: en-GB and de-DE

Jan is of course very welcome to include it in the official Phoca plugin collection
or adapt it as needed.

ich möchte hier ein kleines Community-Update zum bekannten
*Phoca Gallery Slideshow Plugin* teilen.

Wir haben das ursprüngliche Slideshow-Content-Plugin über viele Jahre
auf mehreren Webseiten eingesetzt, direkt eingebettet in Joomla-Beiträge.
Mit der Migration dieser Seiten auf Joomla 6 war das Original-Plugin
nicht mehr kompatibel. Gleichzeitig wollten wir aber das gewohnte Verhalten
und die bekannte Syntax beibehalten, anstatt auf eine komplett andere Lösung
umzusteigen.

Deshalb habe ich das bestehende Plugin übernommen und sorgfältig für Joomla 6
aktualisiert:
• Joomla-6-Kompatibilität
• Bereinigung und Modernisierung des Codes, wo nötig
• weiterhin die bewährte Phoca-Gallery-Slideshow-Logik
• Einsatz direkt in Joomla-Artikeln über ein Content-Plugin
• verbessertes responsives Verhalten (CSS-basiert, abhängig vom Template)

Ziel war es ausdrücklich *nicht*, das Produkt neu zu erfinden,
sondern eine bewährte Lösung auch in modernen Joomla-Umgebungen
weiter nutzbar zu machen.

in die offizielle Phoca-Plugin-Sammlung aufnehmen oder nach
eigenem Ermessen anpassen.

Hi, thank you, I fixed there two problems:

1)
Class "Joomla\CMS\Filesystem\File" not found
/content/phocagalleryslideshow/phocagalleryslideshow.php:242 (this class does not exist anymore in Joomla 6 under CMS)

2) Deprecated: addslashes(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in .../content/phocagalleryslideshow/phocagalleryslideshow.php:205 (added protection agaist null value)
