Administration does not translate into French.

As I am not a native English speaker, I used DeepL to translate this. It should be translated correctly.

Yesterday I installed Phoca Email 5.1.1 and put the files from the language pack fr-FR.com_phocaemail.zip (dated 02/14/2011) in language/fr-FR and administrator/language/fr-FR. But the administration is still in English.

That's right. The available French translation is made for Joomla 1.5 and don't work in Joomla! 1.6 onwards for several reasons:

1.) The right part of a string must begin and end with double quotation marks.
For example this string:
COM_PHOCAEMAIL_FIELD_CC_USERS=Cc (destinataires)
must now look like this:
COM_PHOCAEMAIL_FIELD_CC_USERS="Cc (destinataires)"

2.) The same applies to the file ‘fr-FR.com_phocaemail.menu.ini’, which must now be renamed to: ‘fr-FR.com_phocaemail.sys.ini’.

3.) The biggest problem, however, is that over time, 256 new strings have been added to ‘en-GB.com_phocaemail.ini’, which needs to be copied to 'fr-FR.com_phocaemail.ini' and also needs to be translated.

If you want to update this translation, refer to the English language files:
en-GB.com_phocaemail.ini
and:
en-GB.com_phocaemail.sys.ini
within Phoca Email component.
Unzip Phoca Email v5.1.1
locally on your computer and you will find the two English language files in the directory:
com_phocaemail_v5.1.1\admin\language\en-GB\

If you do so, it will be appreciated if you would share your updated translation with the Phoca community.
