No responsive template in joomla 4 migrated from joomla 3

Post by forlx.62 »

Hello,

I have a website with joomla 3.10.12 and phoca gallery 4.4.3, the current theme is 'Responsive Phoca Gallery 4' and it works fine.

I tried to migrate do joomla 4.4.0 and phoca gallery 4.5.5, and i didn't find the same theme.
I check the result for my customers, and the displayed galleries is not very good and the experience for my customers is not the same.

When trying to display a picture, the joomla context is lost.

Is there something to do to retrieve the same responsive feature in joomla 4.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

Since Joomla 4 there are TWO themes: Theme: Standard and Theme Simple.

https://www.phoca.cz/news?start=15
Just to show you, how it looks. See here pictures of the themes (of course, they are responsive).

In backend under style you can choose (activate) either theme_standard or theme_simple.
theme-simple ist loaded per default.

Could we see your live Site? Thanks.

Kind regards

The gallery is only available for connected people for the website with joomla 3.
And the migrated site in joomla 4, is on my personal computer for test.

So I put the screens in a public page you can see at this link : https://www.sgdf-lens.fr/index.php/2-no ... -of-joomla

I didn't find how to add screens in the post.

When i clickon "How to add screenshot to post", i received HTTP 404 page not found.

Hi,

a) I see on your 3. screenshot, that you have actived both themes. I wrote:

theme-simple ist loaded per default.
Activate either theme_standard.css or theme_simple.css:

Your last screenshot:

b) Please use in Options > Detail View > Detail Window: Photo Swipe.
Here there is a demo with Photo Swipe, when klicking on a picture:

c) adding screenshots: https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/86-j ... forum-post

Hi,

you are right, i keep the default settings after migration, i disabled simple and default styles, and it's better.
I also setup the options as described, and it works also, thanks you, i will be able to go further in my upgrade.

Is there a way to retrieve the map with 2,3 or 4 small pictures as we have with the version with joomla 3 in the first screen i have made in the article ?
or did this feature not migrate to joomla 4 ?

this function was called: mosaik. No, it's not implemented. You can use masonry:

Post splitted.

Hi,

Try this code into your user.css and/or custom.css of your template:
It works temporarily if you create a comment. I don't know about the output.

Code: Select all

textarea#phocagallery-comments-editor.form-control.comment-input {
width: 900px;
}
Kind regards

Hi, thank you for the info Christine, unfortunately from screenshot it is really hard to say if the photo is full or somehow resized by some CSS rule :-(
