Slideshow Skitter Module not working on Joomla 4

Hi guys,

I tried using the Skitter module on Joomla 4 to display a Slideshow with images from a category (We always display the newest gallery on the start page), but when loading the site the Module just keeps loading with a black background. I've been looking for other extensions for displaying images from a certain folder/category in a slideshow that can be easily changed to another folder, without luck.

Is the Skitter module not compatible with Joomla 4? The newer Carousel module doesn't meet my needs of displaying a single category.

3.9 is not 4 though :)

If it is compatible, why does it just keep buffering?

Hi,
Your question was:
Is the Skitter module not compatible with Joomla 4?
There are two possible correct answers to this question:
The first is short: Yes! (as I wrote it above)
The second is more detailed: Yes! Skitter module is not compatible with Joomla! 4 (See my screenshot - there is no Joomla! 4 tagged version listed).
Because I am lazy and thought also the short answer is understandable, I chose the first answer. That was a mistake sorry for that...
So:
If it is compatible, why does it just keep buffering?
Again: It is not compatible!!

Kind regards,
Benno

Oh, I'm sorry. That wasn't your fault, it was mine :) Do you know of any equivalent alternatives for J4? I've been searching far and wide

Hi,
normally I would recommend the Phoca Caroussel module for your purposes, but you already wrote in the first post that it doesn't contain the functions you need. Unfortunately, I don't have any other recommendation at the moment.

Kind regards,
Benno
